Ham and Cheese Rolls - Low Salt
The Savory Ham-and-Cheese Swirls are a delightful appetizer that is sure to impress at any gathering. These savory rolls are made with pizza dough and filled with layers of marinara sauce, ham, and shredded mozzarella cheese. Each roll is seasoned to perfection and baked until golden brown and bubbly.
Ingrédients
- 1 lb pizza dough
- 1/2 cup marinara sauce
- 8 slices ham
- 1,5 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 tablespoon grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Roll out the pizza dough on a lightly floured surface into a large rectangle.
- Spread the marinara sauce evenly over the dough.
- Layer the ham slices over the sauce, then sprinkle the shredded mozzarella on top.
- In a small bowl, mix the oregano, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper. Sprinkle this seasoning mix over the cheese.
- Carefully roll up the dough tightly, starting from one of the long sides, to create a log shape.
- Using a sharp knife, slice the log into 1-inch pieces.
- Place the rolls cut side up on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Brush the tops of the rolls with olive oil and sprinkle with grated Parmesan cheese.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the rolls are golden brown and the cheese is bubbly.
- Garnish with chopped fresh parsley before serving.
