- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 medium bell pepper, chopped

- 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
- 4 cups vegetable broth
- 2 cans black beans, drained and rinsed
- 1 can diced tomatoes

- 1/4 cup fresh cilantro, chopped
Instructions
- Heat olive oil in a large pot over medium heat.
- Add the chopped onion and cook until translucent, about 5 minutes.

- Stir in the ground cumin, smoked paprika, chili powder, and dried oregano, cooking for an additional minute to toast the spices.
- Pour in the vegetable broth, black beans, and diced tomatoes. Bring the mixture to a boil.
- Reduce heat and let the soup simmer for 30 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld together.
- Stir in the lime juice and season with salt and black pepper to taste.
