Spinach and Feta Breakfast Quiche - Vegetarian
The Morning Garden Quiche is a delightful breakfast option that brings the vibrant flavors of a Mediterranean garden into a beautifully baked dish. With fresh spinach, crumbled feta, and a creamy egg mixture all encased in a perfectly golden pie crust, this quiche is both visually appealing and incredibly tasty.
Ingrédients
- 1 premade premade pie crust
- 2 cups fresh spinach, chopped
- 1/2 cup feta cheese, crumbled
- 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 4 large eggs
- 1 cup whole milk
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1/2 medium red onion, finely chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat.
- Add the red onion and sauté until soft, about 3-4 minutes.
- Add the garlic and sauté for another minute until fragrant.
- Add the chopped spinach to the skillet and cook until just wilted, about 2 minutes. Remove from heat.
- In a mixing bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, salt, pepper, and nutmeg.
- Spread the spinach mixture evenly over the bottom of the pie crust.
- Sprinkle the feta cheese and mozzarella cheese over the spinach.
- Pour the egg mixture over the spinach and cheeses.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 35-40 minutes, or until the quiche is set and the top is golden brown.
- Let cool slightly before slicing and serving.
