Ingrédients
- 4 large eggs
- 1/4 cup mixed fresh herbs (such as parsley, chives, and tarragon), finely chopped
- 2 tablespoons milk
- 1 tablespoon unsalted butter
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/4 cup grated Gruyère cheese
Instructions
- In a bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, salt, and black pepper until well combined.
- Fold in the finely chopped fresh herbs.
- Heat the butter in a non-stick skillet over medium heat until melted and bubbling.
- Pour the egg mixture into the skillet, and let it cook undisturbed for 1-2 minutes or until the edges start to set.
- Gently push the edges of the omelette towards the center with a spatula, allowing the uncooked eggs to flow to the edges.
- When the omelette is mostly set but still slightly runny on top, sprinkle the grated Gruyère cheese over one half.
- Fold the omelette in half and cook for another minute or until the cheese melts.
- Slide the omelette onto a plate and serve warm.
