Ingrédients
- 1 large head of cauliflower
- 1/4 cup almond flour
- 1/4 cup nutritional yeast
- 1 tablespoon ground flaxseed
- 3 tablespoons water
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1/4 teaspoon sea salt
- 1/4 cup cashews, soaked and drained
- 1/4 cup water (for the cheese)
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1 tablespoon nutritional yeast (for the cheese)
- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Cut the cauliflower into florets and pulse in a food processor until it resembles rice.
- Place the 'rice' in a microwave-safe bowl and microwave on high for 5-7 minutes, until soft.
- Using a clean kitchen towel, squeeze out as much moisture as possible from the cauliflower.
- In a bowl, combine the cauliflower, almond flour, nutritional yeast, ground flaxseed mixed with water, garlic powder, oregano, and sea salt. Mix until well combined.
- Transfer the mixture onto the prepared baking sheet and spread into a thin, even circle about 1/4 inch thick.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until golden brown and firm.
- While the crust is baking, prepare the vegan cheese by blending the soaked cashews, water, lemon juice, nutritional yeast, and onion powder until smooth and creamy.
- Once the crust is done, spread a layer of the cashew cheese over it.
- Top with your favorite vegan pizza toppings and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes.
- Slice and serve warm.
