Starbucks Cheese Danish - Vegetarian

The Creamy Danish Delight features a flaky, golden puff pastry filled with a lush, sweet cream cheese mixture, creating a perfect balance of textures and flavors that will satisfy your sweet tooth craving.
Ingrédients
- 1 sheet sheet puff pastry, thawed
- 4 ounces ounces cream cheese, softened
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 large egg, beaten
- 1 tablespoon milk
- 1/4 cup preserves or jam (optional)
- Powdered sugar sugar for dusting
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a medium bowl, combine the cream cheese, granulated sugar, and vanilla extract. Beat until smooth and creamy.
- Cut the puff pastry sheet into 6 equal squares. Place the squares onto the prepared baking sheet.
- Spoon a tablespoon of the cream cheese mixture onto the center of each puff pastry square. If using preserves or jam, add a small dollop on top of the cream cheese.
- Fold the corners of each square towards the center, over the filling, and press gently to seal.
- In a small bowl, mix the beaten egg with the milk to create an egg wash. Brush the egg wash over the edges of the puff pastry.
- Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until the pastries are golden brown and puffed.
- Remove from the oven and allow to cool slightly before dusting with powdered sugar. Serve warm.
