The Vegetarian Tomato and Basil Pasta, or as we like to call it, the Italian Garden Bliss Pasta, captures the essence of Italian cuisine in a simple yet incredibly flavorful dish. With roasted cherry tomatoes, fresh basil leaves, and perfectly cooked spaghetti, this recipe brings together a harmony of fresh ingredients that are both visually stunning and delightful to the palate.
Ingrédients
- 4 cups cherry tomatoes, halved
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 3 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 pound spaghetti
- 1 cup fresh basil leaves, torn
- 1/4 cup Parmesan cheese, grated
- 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- In a large bowl, toss the cherry tomatoes, garlic, olive oil, salt, and black pepper together until well coated.
- Spread the tomato mixture on a baking sheet in a single layer and roast for 20 minutes or until the tomatoes are soft and slightly caramelized.
- While the tomatoes are roasting, cook the spaghetti according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- Once the tomatoes are done, transfer them to a large bowl and add the cooked spaghetti, fresh basil, and Parmesan cheese. Toss until well combined.
- Serve immediately, garnished with additional Parmesan cheese and red pepper flakes if desired.
