Ingrédients
- 1 1/2 1/2 cups sweetened shredded coconut
- 2/3 cup granulated sugar
- 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 4 large egg whites
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup caramel sauce
- 1/2 teaspoon flaky sea salt
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 325°F (165°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, mix together the shredded coconut, granulated sugar, flour, and salt.
- In a separate bowl, whisk the egg whites and vanilla extract until frothy.
- Add the egg white mixture to the coconut mixture and stir until well combined.
- Using a spoon or a small ice cream scoop, drop mounds of the mixture onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about 1 inch apart.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the tops are golden brown.
- Remove from the oven and let cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
- Once the macaroons are cool, drizzle the caramel sauce over the tops and sprinkle with flaky sea salt.
- Allow the caramel to set before serving.
