  • 2 cups fresh strawberries, hulled and sliced
  • 1/4 cup fresh basil leaves
  • 1 cup freshly squeezed lemon juice (approx. 6 lemons)
  • 1/2 cup honey or agave syrup
  • 4 cups cold water
  • Ice cubes cubes as needed
  • Fresh basil basil and lemon slices for garnish

Instructions
 

  • In a blender, combine the strawberries and basil leaves. Blend until smooth.
  • In a large pitcher, combine the strawberry-basil mixture, lemon juice, and honey or agave syrup. Stir well to mix.
  • Add the cold water and stir until combined. Taste and adjust sweetness if necessary.
  • Fill glasses with ice cubes and pour the strawberry basil lemonade over the ice.
  • Garnish with fresh basil and lemon slices before serving.
