Teriyaki Tofu Stir-Fry - Vegan
The Teriyaki Tofu Stir-Fry is a perfect blend of Asian flavors and textures, making it a delightful dish for any meal. The tofu, golden and slightly crispy on the outside, pairs perfectly with the tender-crisp mixed vegetables, all coated in a rich and tangy teriyaki sauce.
Ingrédients
- 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
- 1 block block (14 oz) firm tofu, pressed and cubed
- 2 cups mixed vegetables (bell peppers, broccoli, carrots, snap peas)
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon ginger, minced
- 1/4 cup teriyaki sauce
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon hoisin sauce
- 2 teaspoons cornstarch
- 1/4 cup water
- 2 green green onions, chopped
- 1 tablespoon sesame seeds
- Cooked rice rice for serving
Instructions
- Heat the vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat.
- Add the cubed tofu and cook until golden on all sides, about 8 minutes. Remove the tofu and set it aside.
- In the same skillet, add the garlic and ginger, and sauté until fragrant, about 1 minute.
- Add the mixed vegetables and stir-fry until tender-crisp, about 5 minutes.
- In a small bowl, mix the teriyaki sauce, soy sauce, hoisin sauce, cornstarch, and water until the cornstarch is dissolved.
- Return the tofu to the skillet and pour the sauce mixture over the tofu and vegetables. Stir until the sauce thickens and everything is well coated, about 3-5 minutes.
- Remove from heat and sprinkle with green onions and sesame seeds.
- Serve hot over cooked rice.
