Ingrédients
- 1 cup arborio rice
- 4 cups whole milk
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon ground cardamom
- 1/4 teaspoon ground cloves
- 1/4 teaspoon ground ginger
- 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup raisins (optional)
- 1 pinch pinch salt
- Chopped nuts nuts for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- In a large saucepan, combine the milk, sugar, arborio rice, and a pinch of salt.
- Bring to a boil over medium-high heat, then reduce to low and let it simmer, stirring occasionally.
- Cook for about 25-30 minutes until the rice is tender and the mixture begins to thicken.
- Add the ground cinnamon, cardamom, cloves, ginger, and nutmeg. Stir well to incorporate the spices.
- Mix in the vanilla extract and raisins (if using). Continue to cook for another 5 minutes, stirring frequently, until the pudding reaches your desired consistency.
- Remove from heat and let it cool slightly before serving.
- Serve warm or chilled, garnished with chopped nuts if desired.
