Banana Walnut & Pecan Loaf - Vegetarian
The Banana Walnut & Pecan Loaf, also known as the Nutty Banana Dream Loaf, is a delightful treat that combines ripe bananas with the earthy flavors of walnuts and pecans. This moist and flavorful loaf is perfect for dessert or a cozy afternoon snack with a cup of tea or coffee.
Ingrédients
- 2 large ripe bananas, mashed
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup brown sugar, packed
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup whole milk
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
- 1/2 cup chopped walnuts
- 1/2 cup chopped pecans
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x5 inch loaf pan.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the mashed bananas, granulated sugar, brown sugar, and melted butter. Mix until well combined.
- Add the eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract and whole milk.
- In another bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, ground cinnamon, and ground nutmeg.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring until just combined. Fold in the chopped walnuts and pecans.
- Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and spread it evenly.
- Bake for 60-70 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Allow the loaf to cool in the pan for about 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely before slicing.
