Millet Fruit Pudding - Vegan
The Autumn Harvest Millet Pudding is a celebration of the season's best fruits, combined in a wholesome and hearty dessert. The tender millet mingles perfectly with the sweet and tart notes of apples, pears, and dried cranberries, all enveloped in a warm, spiced almond milk base.
Ingrédients
- 1/2 cup millet
- 2 cups almond milk
- 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
- 1/2 cup apple, diced
- 1/2 cup pear, diced
- 1/4 cup dried cranberries
- 1 tablespoon maple syrup
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 pinch pinch salt
Instructions
- Rinse the millet under cold water and drain.
- In a medium saucepan, combine the millet, almond milk, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt.
- Bring to a boil over medium-high heat, then reduce the heat to low, cover, and simmer for about 20 minutes, until the millet is tender and most of the liquid is absorbed.
- Stir in the diced apple, pear, dried cranberries, maple syrup, and vanilla extract.
- Cook for an additional 5 minutes, or until the fruit is tender and the mixture has thickened to a pudding consistency.
- Remove from heat and let cool slightly before serving.
- Serve warm or chilled, garnished with additional fruit or a sprinkle of cinnamon if desired.
