Popcorn with Nutritional Yeast - Vegan
The Savory Nutritional Yeast Popcorn elevates a classic snack to a new level of flavor and nutrition. Fluffy, air-popped kernels are generously coated with a blend of nutritional yeast, garlic powder, and smoked paprika, creating a savory and umami-rich treat that's hard to resist.
Ingrédients
- 1/2 cup popcorn kernels
- 2 tablespoons coconut oil
- 1/4 cup nutritional yeast
- 1/2 teaspoon sea salt
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/4 teaspoon smoked paprika
Instructions
- Heat the coconut oil in a large pot over medium-high heat. Add a few popcorn kernels and cover the pot.
- Once the test kernels pop, remove them and add the rest of the popcorn kernels. Cover the pot and shake it gently to coat the kernels with oil.
- Continue to cook, shaking the pot occasionally, until the popping slows down to about 2 seconds between pops. Remove from heat.
- In a small bowl, mix together the nutritional yeast, sea salt, garlic powder, and smoked paprika.
- Sprinkle the seasoning mixture evenly over the popcorn, tossing to coat each piece. Adjust seasoning to taste if necessary.
