Ingrédients
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon dried thyme
- 1/4 teaspoon dried rosemary
- 1/4 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, cold and diced
- 1 cup aged cheddar cheese, shredded
- 2 tablespoons cold water
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, salt, pepper, dried thyme, rosemary, and oregano.
- Add the cold, diced butter to the flour mixture and use a pastry cutter or your fingers to combine until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
- Stir in the shredded cheddar cheese until evenly distributed.
- Add the cold water, one tablespoon at a time, and mix until a dough forms.
- On a lightly floured surface, roll out the dough to a 1/8-inch thickness.
- Cut the dough into desired shapes using a cookie cutter and transfer to the prepared baking sheet.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown.
- Allow the crackers to cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
