Ingrédients
- 2 large russet potatoes
- 4 cups vegetable oil for frying
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
Instructions
- Peel the potatoes and cut them into thin fries, about 1/4 inch thick.
- Place the cut potatoes in a bowl of cold water and let them soak for at least 30 minutes to remove excess starch.
- Drain the potatoes and pat them dry with a paper towel.
- Heat the vegetable oil in a large pot over medium-high heat to about 350°F (175°C).
- Carefully add the potatoes to the hot oil in batches, frying for about 3-4 minutes until the fries are pale and tender. Remove and let them drain on a paper towel.
- Increase the oil temperature to 400°F (200°C) and fry the potatoes again in batches for 2-3 minutes until golden and crispy.
- Remove the fries from the oil and place on paper towels to drain. Immediately season with salt, smoked paprika, garlic powder, and onion powder.
- Serve hot and enjoy!
