Ingrédients
- 2 ahi ahi tuna steaks (about 6 oz each)
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 teaspoon sesame oil
- 1 ripe ripe mango, diced
- 1 ripe ripe avocado, sliced
- 4 cups mixed salad greens
- 1/4 cup red onion, thinly sliced
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
- 1 teaspoon honey
- 1/2 teaspoon freshly grated ginger
- 1 tablespoon toasted sesame seeds
- Salt and and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Heat the olive oil and sesame oil in a skillet over high heat.
- Season the ahi tuna steaks with salt and pepper on both sides.
- Sear the tuna steaks for about 1-2 minutes on each side until the outside is browned but the inside remains rare.
- Remove the tuna from the skillet and let it rest for a few minutes before slicing into thin strips.
- In a small bowl, whisk together soy sauce, rice vinegar, honey, and grated ginger to make the dressing.
- In a large bowl, combine mixed salad greens, diced mango, avocado slices, and red onion.
- Drizzle the dressing over the salad and toss gently to combine.
- Top the salad with the seared tuna slices and sprinkle with toasted sesame seeds before serving.
