Strawberry Basil Lemonade - Low Calorie

Ingrédients
- 1 cup fresh strawberries, hulled and diced
- 1/4 cup fresh basil leaves
- 1/2 cup lemon juice, freshly squeezed
- 4 cups cold water
- 1/3 cup honey or sugar, adjustable to taste
- 1 cup ice cubes
- Strawberry slices and basil leaves for garnish
Instructions
- In a blender, combine the diced strawberries, fresh basil leaves, lemon juice, and honey or sugar. Blend until smooth.
- Pour the mixture through a fine mesh strainer into a large pitcher, pressing on the solids to extract as much liquid as possible.
- Add the cold water to the pitcher and stir to combine.
- Taste and add more honey or sugar if needed.
- Refrigerate the lemonade for at least 1 hour to allow the flavors to meld together.
- When ready to serve, fill glasses with ice cubes and pour the strawberry basil lemonade over the ice.
- Garnish with strawberry slices and fresh basil leaves. Serve chilled.
