Avocado Hummus - Vegan
The Creamy Avocado Chickpea Hummus is a delicious twist on traditional hummus. Ingrédients
- 1 large avocado, peeled and pitted
- 1 can chickpeas, drained and rinsed
- 2 tablespoons tahini
- 3 tablespoons lemon juice
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/4 cup olive oil
- 1/2 teaspoon cumin
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/4 cup water, as needed
Instructions
- In a food processor, combine the avocado, chickpeas, tahini, lemon juice, and garlic. Process until smooth.
- Gradually add the olive oil while continuing to process the mixture.
- Add the cumin, salt, and pepper, and process again until well combined.
- If the hummus is too thick, add water, one tablespoon at a time, until the desired consistency is reached.
- Transfer the hummus to a serving bowl and drizzle with a little olive oil before serving.
