Ingrédients
- 3/4 cup unsweetened almond milk
- 2 tablespoons ground flaxseed
- 1/2 cup vegan butter
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 3/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup vegan chocolate chips
- 1/2 cup chopped walnuts (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease an 8x8 inch baking pan.
- In a small bowl, mix almond milk and ground flaxseed, letting it sit for 5 minutes to thicken.
- In a saucepan over medium heat, melt the vegan butter. Remove from heat and stir in sugar, cocoa, and vanilla until smooth.
- Add the flaxseed mixture, salt, and baking powder. Mix well.
- Gradually stir in flour until just combined, then fold in chocolate chips and walnuts.
- Spread batter evenly into the prepared pan and bake for 20-25 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out mostly clean.
- Allow brownies to cool in the pan before slicing into squares.
