Earl Grey Tea Infused Custard - Vegetarian
The Elegant Earl Grey Custard Delight is a sophisticated twist on traditional custard, elevated with the subtle and aromatic infusion of Earl Grey tea. This dessert, served in charming ramekins, offers a smooth and creamy texture that's perfectly complemented by the fragrant notes of bergamot from the tea.
Ingrédients
- 2 cups whole milk
- 4 Earl Earl Grey tea bags
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 4 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- Fresh berries berries for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 325°F (165°C).
- In a medium saucepan, bring the milk to a simmer over medium heat.
- Remove the saucepan from heat and add the Earl Grey tea bags. Let steep for 10 minutes, then remove the tea bags, pressing out the excess milk. Allow the milk to cool slightly.
- In a mixing bowl, whisk together the granulated sugar, eggs, vanilla extract, and salt until well combined.
- Gradually whisk the warm tea-infused milk into the egg mixture, ensuring that the eggs do not curdle.
- Strain the mixture through a fine sieve to remove any lumps, then divide the custard mixture evenly among six ramekins.
- Place the ramekins in a baking dish and fill the dish with hot water until it reaches halfway up the sides of the ramekins.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 45-50 minutes, or until the custard is set and a knife inserted near the center comes out clean.
- Carefully remove the ramekins from the baking dish and let cool to room temperature. Refrigerate for at least 2 hours before serving.
- Garnish with fresh berries if desired, and enjoy your Elegant Earl Grey Custard Delight!
